Rental Terms of Service
The Period of Rental begins immediately when the products are ready for you to collect at our premises or has been delivered to you. The Period of Rental ends when everything you have rented, is returned within acceptable conditions.
You are responsible for the products all the time they are not in our premises. You must take good care of the products and keep them in your possession throughout the Rental Period and any extension.
You are liable for all loss or damage caused to the products in their full replacement cost or value whichever is the higher. You must tell us in writing of any loss of or damage to the products without delay and you will pay to Rent A Dress the full cost of the replacement or repair of the products. In the case of loss of product and/or extensive and irreparable damage, you will be liable for and charged 1.5 times the retail cost of the dress (as per what is stated on the http://lifacostumes.com).
If the products are held beyond the agreed Period of Rent, they remain in your possession without our consent. We will charge you INR 50/day per product for this up until 14 days after agreed upon return date, after which you will be liable for 1.5x the retail price of each product. We will also charge for any damages for breach of this Contract if this causes any loss to Rent A Dress. In the event of refusal to return the products, Rent A Dress reserves the right to take legal action against you.
If the Renter wishes to extend rental, the Renter must inform Rent A Dress in advance and will be charged a daily fee prorated against the total rental fee of your dress. This is different from late charges of INR 100 per day (for those that aren’t informed upon the rental).
You can only use our products for the specified production that you told us about. You cannot use our products for any other purpose without our prior written permission. You cannot let anyone else use the products.
You may not arrange cleaning yourself unless we have agreed this in writing.
Rent A Dress will use our best efforts to ensure the products are provided clean and in a wearable condition. The Renter must notify us of any damage or discrepancy (including but not limited to sizing and fit issues) within 24 hours of receiving the products. Failure to notify us within that time period means that you have accepted the products in the quantity, quality and condition in which they were received.
Cancellation, Refund and Order Revision Policy
All cancellations of Contract with notice given at least 24 hours before the delivery date will be issued a store credit refund. This store credit refund is inclusive of rental price minus any discounts given. Any other charges will be refunded via the original method of payment.
If you cancel the Contract with less than 24 hours notice given before delivery date, you will need to pay a cancellation charge of INR 100, which will be taken out from the rental price and any other costs minus any discounts given. The remainder will then be refunded via store credit refund. No cash refunds will be given.
If you would like to change your dress:
If the new dress is higher in price, the difference in price must be topped up
If the new dress is lower in price, the difference in price will be considered null and void
All changes are subject to availability of the new dress.
No cash refunds will be given for the rental price minus any discounts given.
Store credits issued is transferrable and can only be used in the same store that the original order was placed in
Free Shipping covers both delivery AND pickup for rentals, and a one-way shipping for gifts.
Any cancellations or refunds made to the dress rental order will be credited to store credit usable anytime with no expiry date.
Dresses can be exchanged up to 48 hours before the delivery date with a dress subject to (i) availability of other dresses and (ii) top up of payment to the price of the new dress to be exchanged.
We accept delivery changes of address and contact details up to 24 hours before the delivery and / or pickup. Any changes made within 24-hours incurs a standard change fee of INR 50.
Minor damages (removable stains, regular wear and tear) will be notified upon receipt of the dress and may or may not be charged. Major damages that are repairable will be charged the price of repair. Non-repairable damages will be charged 1.5 times the retail price of the dress.
Lifacostumes primary goal is customer satisfaction. We want you to be happy with items you purchase from us. However, if you wish to return an item from any reason, we offer the following guidelines. Please keep in mind that this is a general policy statement and that we will go out of our way to accommodate you when unusual circumstances develop. It is our wish to be as fair as possible, so please Contact Us if you have specific questions regarding the return of any item.
Most items purchased through our website are returnable within 30 days for a refund, subject to the following conditions:
We cannot refund shipping charges unless we have shipped the wrong merchandise.
Items must have never been used and in new condition to obtain a full refund
